Chapter - Ridgeland High School

the Ridgeland High School FCCLA chapter recently completed an initiative, a project titled Career Mobile, designed to educate students about the wide range of careers, available in family and community, consumer science, and early childhood education. Member realized that many students may not fully understand the career possibilities within the field. With that, the Career Mobiles Project aimed to encourage students to explore diverse career paths in FCS and Early childhood education.

Students would research various FCS-related careers, gathering information such as salary expectations, required skills and training, opportunities for advancement, and the impact each career had on children. Students then compiled their newfound information and created colorful mobiles that displayed their career research. The mobiles were then placed around the classroom, allowing their peers to learn about career options throughout the semester.

By combining research, technology, and creativity, ridgelands high schools Career Mobiles project was able to promote FCCLAs mission of preparing students for careers in Family and Consumer Sciences.
