Chapter - Girl's Empowerment Initiative
In order to meet the needs of girls in Africa and third world countries, we partnered with Little Dresses for Africa in their Dignity Program. We made it our goal to make 10 dresses out of pillowcases for little girls and 50 reusable, sanitary napkins for teenage girls. We felt it was very important to help our "sisters" with something we honestly take for granted in our daily lives. We asked for donations from the other clubs at our school and the BETA club and NHS, donated ribbon, pillowcases, and safety pins. Several of our school's faculty members also donated supplies to help in our project. We have almost met our sewing goal and are excited about putting them in the mail! #region2
