NLC Success for East Forsyth

Mary Gail Cheek and Maryia Babko from East Forsyth High School achieved impressive results

with their hard work and commitment to excellence at the National Leadership Conference

(NLC) in Seattle, WA, this summer. Mary Gail Cheek earned second place in the Teaching

Strategies, Level 2 STAR event taught by Mrs. Sharon Nizialek in the Early Childhood Pathway.

Meanwhile, Maryia Babko, who is completing her final course in the Interiors, Fashion, and

Textile Pathway, under Mrs. Lindsey Bridges, won first place in the Interior Design, Level 2 STAR

event. Additionally, Maryia serves as the East Forsyth High School FCCLA chapter President

for the 2024-2025 school year. These achievements highlight East Forsyth's growing success

and ambitious plans for its FCCLA chapter.
