Bulldog Bath & Body

Chapter: Emanuel County Institute

Allie Rigdon and Mylie Lane have dedicated the past two years to raising awareness and addressing the need for reliable access to personal care products within their school system. They initiated the idea to purchase a rolling cart stocked with essential hygiene items, which is now located in the nurse's office. Students can access these supplies through the nurse any day.

To gather supplies for the cart, they organized a school-wide competition, where the homeroom that collected the most items won a pizza party. They also secured a donation from a local business to fund the purchase of an Aunt Flow sanitary dispenser, which has been installed in the main restroom near the lunchroom. These products are free of charge, and the dispenser is regularly stocked, thanks to our dedicated custodial staff, who notify our FCCLA chapter when supplies run low.

Allie and Mylie are currently working to have an additional dispenser installed at their school and are now advocating for similar installations in other schools throughout their county.
