Chapter - Archer High School

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, we held an officer workshop for our newly elected officers! We were there from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Our agenda consisted of team building games and activities so that they could get to know each other, breakout groups for planning, making lunch together, and mapping out the first half of the school year! It was an amazing day because they were all so involved. Team building was hilarious and fun! In each breakout group they had the opportunity to share thoughts on community service ideas, fundraising ideas, and themes for our membership meetings. Wow! Ms. Bullard and I were blown away with the ideas that they had for FCCLA and our school community. Making lunch, “smash burgers”, and tater tots really was amazing! Having this not too long after the tragedy at Apalachee High School was really needed. They were able to discuss their fears and ways to make our school community feel safe. The students even suggested that we reach out to Apalachee’s FCCLA Advisor to see if we could help in some way! Overall, it was an amazing day that was super productive. We realized there was an amazing group of young people we have at Archer and we know they will have a positive impact on our student body as well as our community! With 114 members this year, we hope that Archer FCCLA has a positive impact on our community and beyond.
